Drone Acharya has secured a significant work order to conduct a comprehensive drone-based survey
covering approximately 242 sq. km in the Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR), Gujarat.
The large-scale assignment involves advanced aerial mapping and geospatial data collection aimed
at generating planning-grade outputs to support ongoing infrastructure development and urban
planning initiatives in the region.
Drone Acharya is one of India’s most ambitious greenfield smart city projects. The region is
witnessing rapid development in expressways, industrial corridors, utility infrastructure, and
urban planning systems.
The drone survey will utilize high-resolution aerial imaging technology to capture precise
topographical and spatial data. This data is expected to enhance planning accuracy, reduce manual
surveying efforts, and improve decision-making efficiency for large infrastructure projects.
Industry experts note that drone-based surveying has become a vital component of modern
infrastructure planning, especially for large and complex development zones such as Dholera SIR,
where accuracy and speed are critical.
The initiative is also expected to support government and private stakeholders involved in phased
development projects by providing updated geospatial intelligence for better coordination and
execution.
Overall, this contract strengthens Drone Acharya’s position in India’s rapidly growing geospatial
and drone services industry while reinforcing the importance of advanced mapping technologies in
smart city development.
